Day Three: The Station Is Quiet Under The Subtropical Sun

Tuesday, 5th September 2012. Fo Tan, New Territories, Hong Kong.
Fo Tan is blue collar country, and has more in common with the industrial towns of mainland China than with the glamour and big money life of the Central district down on Hong Kong island. we moved our offices out there after we outgrew the old ones on Mody Square. the district is served by the Hung Hom – Lo Wu commuter line which runs from East Tsim Hsa Tsui to the Chinese border. unimpressive and unimposing apartment towers and commercial buildings are clustered closely together, and dominate the visual space.
I leave the office early to beat the afternoon rush. the station is quiet under the subtropical sun.

The sation may be quiet under that subtropical sun but your images speak out loud, captein. And you know that we’re just living for the drinks, the dinner, the girls & the night. We’re creatures of the night. And you know that I’m right. Right?
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
ay, Fritsch, tell me about it, buddy!
we’re conceived in darkness, born into the light and then we disappear into darkness again – it never ends for some of us. we’re drawn to the darkness like insects are drawn to the light …… like insects to the light …
greetings from a pitch black place, pal!
Hepp!
