Never Compete With The Punch And The Package
Thursday, 13th October 2011.
Quiet day at the office. Went over to Apollon and bought beautiful 180 gram reissues of Reed’s “Berlin” and The Jayhawks’ “Hollywood Town Hall” as well as the original Third Man Records’ pressing of Wanda Jackson’s latest album. TMR designs and releases beautiful records, often with lavish gatefold sleeves leaving lots of room for cover art. Digital sound media can never compete with the complete punch and package classic vinyl records still deliver.
Back at the office I received great news from F over in Virginia. Maybe there’ll be a trip to the States before Christmas after all.
